Harry Potter

Thu Jul 16, 2009, 10:19 PM
HP and teh H-BL: What can I say? It was awesome. At first I thought all the teenage romance was annoying, but then I thought: how many people who grew up with Harry Potter, INCLUDING myself, are around the same age as these people? And how many of us are probably going through the same crap they're going through? I like how they kept it realistic and were basically like "yeah, we're older now, we actually want to experience this stuff". Maybe they milked it just a little too much, but all-in-all I was entertained and pleasantly surprised. There were some rather annoying plot holes, but whatever. The shock from the film being pretty awesome was from hearing all the negativity about it from friends who had seen it.

Also, one friend said something about how after the movie was over for him, there was an awkward silence/one person clapping/people leaving out dissatisfied, but it was the opposite for when I saw it: a majority of viewers clapped, everyone was happily chatting afterward, and there was a satisfying vibe about the crowd. I loved it. Throw in the fact that we had delicious food/snacks, amazing tapioca, I was with an amazing guy, and everything was free for us since his mom paid for all of it. Woo!

So I gave in and bought the game that was rumored to be up for competition at VGL, but then I got an e-mail saying that there would be a different game and yeah it's so annoyiiingggg...I really don't know what to practice anymore but since it'll be GH either way, and I've grown exceptionally amazing at that game, I'm hoping I'll be fine. In fact, there's only one thing I can really "practice" that will somewhat guarantee my win. I need to get over the problem with my hands shaking when a large crowd watches me play...happened in Gamestop too many times, entire store turns around and are like "holyyy crap o_o" and my hands start trembling. Grrr >.< Either way, I can't wait! So excited!

Life is goooooooodddd~

EDIT: So the song that was rumored to be played for the competition, on hard mode, was won entirely by some guy for two cities in a row who got a 600+ note streak. On the song, my FIRST time playing it, I hit 835/870 (5* blah blah blah you know the deal) and got a 209 note streak. My third time playing it, my score was almost 200k (only using * pwr once), I hit 855/870 notes (98% notes hit), and my note streak was 437. I really hope my city is doing this song :| After all, I wouldn't mind having another laptop :)
